After serving 15 years in the Telecom & IT sector including DOT, Sanchar Bhawan, Govt of India, New Delhi as Officer on Special Duty to Indian Telecom Ministry for five years and played key role in the implementation of first Telecom revolution in India including introducing of India's first Telecom Policy. Later-on Mr. Thakur worked with VSNL HQ Mumbai and Northern Region VSNL in various capacities.
